Some "Enchantment" lillies that I painted with watercolor, and added a bit of detail with Prismacolor Premium colored pencils. The background effects were acomplished using wet-on-wet, splatter, spray (with a drinking straw), and rock salt.

Rock salt?...Ah I see it now. Very nice. The flowers turned out really well, great details and I love the way you did the speckles on the petals.

I guess I didn't realize how real the flowers look....I've been getting several comments on them about them looking real.

I think my ego is in danger of over-inflation. *heheheheheh* Just kidding. I love the compliments.

I know it's been several months since you made this, but I bumped into it in my travels and I have to say, it's LOVELY! :love: I adore how the bright, sunny colors of the lillies contrast with the colors of the backdrop. It really makes them stick out and attract attention, as does the differing textures between the pencilled lillies and purelypainted background.

The ruffles on the sides of the petals are so delicate and realistic. :D Great job on that part! I love lillies but have a terrible time expressing the folds and ruffles.

Absolute awesomeness. :heart: I'm faving!
